Lance was born and raised in La Vernia. Lance and his beautiful wife Chelsea have 2 handsome sons, Wyatt and Walker, and a beautiful daughter, Laurel. His oldest son, Wyatt, will play for the Rookies team with younger son, Walker, hitting the field as a Flag player this season. This will be Lances fifth year with the Grizzlies. He served last season as Head Coach for Flag Football. When not working and coaching he loves to BBQ and be outdoors.

John was not born in La Vernia but when he and his wife Lisa were researching areas to move their family to, La Vernia won, hands down. John and Lisa have 5 children combined/together with the youngest 2 still at home. Jaxson, their youngest is on the Rookies this season and loves to play on the line and tackle. Keep your eyes open because he is determined to play for the Dallas Cowboys one day!. Johns passions in life are his family and SPORTS, most any sport and he is proud to be involved with the Grizzlies.
Joe Richards

Joe comes to us from Center, Texas, by way of 22 years of service in the United States Air Force. He and his family chose La Vernia to settle down and put down roots. Both of his sons have played for the Grizzlies, with his youngest finding a passion for the game as a Rookie last season. Joe served as the Head Coach for the Rookies during the Fall 2024 season. His love for football and dedication to developing the youth in our community is second to none.
Jessica Curry
Cheer Director
Jessica moved to San Antonio seven years ago and made La Vernia her home four years later. Last season, she served as the Head Coach for the Rookies cheer team. Her whole family proudly wears Grizzly blue—her husband, Bobby, is an assistant football coach for the Tykes; her son, Luke, plays for the Tykes; her daughter, Alyeska, is a Rookies cheerleader; and her oldest daughter is an assistant coach for the Rookies cheer team. The entire family is excited to be part of the Grizzlies again this season and can’t wait to watch the kids grow and shine!
Tania Zigmond

Tania and her husband have lived in La Vernia for the last 7 years. She was born and raised on the Southside of SA. This will be her third year with the Grizzlies. Her son Bentley will play for the Tykes Football team and her daughter Summer in cheer! She is a local Realtor.

Event Director
Lilah was born and raised in Alaska. She moved to Saint Hedwig last year with her husband, an active duty military serviceman, and their children, Zoe (11) and Gabe (4). Last year, she served as the assistant coach for the juniors cheer team and is excited to see how the cheer teams grow this year.

Grant lives locally in La Vernia, with his wife Kelsey and their triplets Chase, Cooper, and Karlie. When Grant is not working he enjoys spending all his time with his family and the Grizzlies (his words, not ours).

Kayla and her family live locally in La Vernia, she is a nurse full time. Her family has been apart of the organization for the past 4 years. Her husband is the head coach for Tykes this season and thier son Karter also plays. Her daughter Oaklyn cheers for the organization as well. She has a passion for capturing moments that will last a life time, while having fun.
Morgan Echols

Originally from Alaska, Morgan joins us after spending the last 13 years in the Air Force serving in various specialties and locations. He moved to the area in 2024 with his wife and two children. The whole family is heavily involved in both the Grizzlies organization as well as their church family and the local community. He is happy to serve and join the Grizzly family.
